Bare Minerals Makeup
By mdscoggins
When I hear about makeup skepticism has always ranked high on my list. For many years I have watched the infomercials promoting Bare Minerals makeup and thought of course those are paid models and it will work for anyone but me. When I though of mineral makeup I would imagine it getting stuck in my large oily pores and making a mess all over my face.
I have tried all types of makeup foundations and it worked for awhile then the grease and acne would take over. Never satisfied with the way my skin looked; either not enough coverage or too cakey, so I thought I was just left with that look and changing products when my skin broke out.

About 2 years ago my sister began to use Bare Escentuals makeup and she loves it and will never change. I did not take to the product so soon as she has dry perfect skin and I have oily acne prone. Although I thought I would try a much cheaper brand that did well but at the same time did not give the same results.
For about one week I tried my sisters Bare Minerals makeup and fell in love. That was about 1 year ago and still hanging in. This makeup has provided results that I could never imagine and now at times I go without foundation at all as my complexion has tremendously cleared; and no breakouts!!
The makeup is made of natural products which I encourage you to look at the label of your favorite makeup and see how many ingredients are in that makeup. The more ingredients the more likely you are to have some irritation.

I have purchased a .3oz/9g container of Bare Minerals in October 2009 in which I am still using and I use makeup 5-7 days out of the week. I apply it until I receive moderate coverage although with the right brush you can achieve full coverage with this makeup. I have only used about half of this container so it does go a long way. This container by itself roughly costs about $25 which is a great bargain compared to department store makeup. Even in the last few years discount stores have raised prices on makeup such as L'Oreal, Cover Girl and others where if you compare the price and how long it lasts you really are coming out with a steal.
I currently purchase my products from www.qvc.com where you can find monthly deals and specials that come with multiple products. Many of their products are available on Flex pay where you can break up the total into more than one payment charged to your credit card once a month until the balance is paid.
After I found out how great the foundation was I began to use their other products like blush, eye shadow, mascara, eye liner, and lip gloss. Those products to are phenomenal and love when I use them and really notice the difference in your skin texture; the eye shadow is very blendable and natural looking which most of their products are. The intent of Bare Escentuals makeup is to create a natural looking palette despite the dark look of the product in their containers.
As the makeup is created to go on natural it is very hard to mess up which I truly love. If it appears to be to dark or light usually if you blend a little or just leave it alone it will mix with your skin and be perfect.
If you have not tried this makeup you really do not know what you are missing. I too was very skeptical which is the reason I have not been able to enjoy wonderful skin as long as I could have but that is over I have found paradise and have no reason to change. If I do not feel like using makeup then I don’t that is how great my skin is now the minerals have really corrected many of my flaws. TRY NOW.
